Sale records

Add sale records to vehicles to keep tabs on a specific vehicle’s list price, value trends for a specific model, and more.

Sale Types

Sale records support three sale types:

  • Dealer: trade-ins and purchases at licensed new and used car dealerships.
  • Auction: results from public auction sales (e.g. Barrett-Jackson, Bring a Trailer).
  • Private Party: individual-to-individual sales that don’t involve a dealership.

Sale Results

Sale records support the following sale results to help better understand and filter out value histories:

  • Listed for sale: add sale records from dealer listings to keep track of when the price drops or get a rough idea of a model’s current market.
  • Sold for: add sold records for confirmed prices and more accurate value histories.
  • Bid to (reserve not met): add these records when a car doesn’t meet reserve at auction. These results give a decent idea of what the market is willing to pay but don’t represent actual sales.
  • Trade-in: these records give an idea of a vehicle’s trade-in value while providing an asterisk against actual, full-value sale records.

Currencies

Oslo supports seven of the most common global currencies. Add records in the sale’s currency and see historical values in your preferred currency, displayed using accurate conversion rates updated daily.

Each sale record requires a URL or image/PDF upload as a source. This helps maintain the integrity of sale records added to Oslo.
